PRIME MINISTER JOSEPH DION NGUTE ENDS PEACE MISSION IN THE NORTH WEST REGION

Joseph Dion Ngute made one last plea to the region's constructive forces on Friday before leaving Bamenda: Invest in convincing young fighters to accept the peace offer.

Many combatants laid down their weapons during the peace mission, despite the fact that reforms made following the Major National Dialogue continue to encounter resistance.

The visit was also an opportunity to convey the entire scope of the government's response to trade union concerns voiced in 2016.

While speaking to an enthusiastic crowd on Bamenda Commercial Avenue, the Head of Government emphasized both the significance of the region's unique position and the many measures taken to reduce tensions.

An evaluation of each division's condition was conducted on an individual basis, and strategies for luring young people from the bushes were devised as a result of the large conference.

13 sessetionist militants from Noni repented during Prime Minister Dion Ngute's working visit to the North West and surrendered their weapons to police. They were then included in the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Centers.
